This technology is an automatic umbrella dryer where, as you walk through an open-top passage holding an umbrella, a brush towel spirally wound around a vertical rotating shaft spins to absorb and shake off rainwater.
Bringing wet umbrellas indoors on rainy days has caused floor contamination and slip accidents. To prevent this, disposable plastic umbrella covers have been widely used, but they create significant waste, are cumbersome to dispose of due to residual moisture, and contribute to resource waste and environmental pollution.
This technology uses sensors at the entrance and exit to automatically start and stop the brush. It rotates the spiral downward to sweep water off, which is then collected into a reservoir via a perforated screen and slope. Suitable for entrances of high-traffic facilities like department stores, government offices, and subway stations, it reduces disposable plastic cover use while keeping indoor floors dry.
