This technology relates to harmonic drive gears with an improved contact ratio. Specifically, it is a harmonic drive gear technology that enhances the contact ratio through a tooth profile design based on similar curves.
Existing harmonic drive gears, which provide continuous contact between the hardened tooth roots from internal treatment and the external tooth roots in areas of amplified flexspline deformation, faced a precision problem where torque separation occurred due to discontinuous contact of the hardened tooth roots. To resolve this, the present technology proposes a configuration comprising a wave generator, a flexspline, and a circular spline.
Accordingly, this technology improves the contact ratio in the area where the flexspline's deformation is amplified by providing a harmonic drive gear that ensures continuous contact between the upper part of the external teeth and the tooth roots of the internally treated hardened material. It has valuable applications in machinery, equipment, and electronic components.
