This technology features a one-touch tumbler that uses a compression spring between the mounting part covering the container opening and the cover above it. Pressing the cover lowers the lid height, exposing the hidden straw. The straw's upper opening is located on the side, keeping it sealed by the inner wall of the cover's passage hole when retracted.
While regulations on disposable cups have increased tumbler usage, existing straw-type lids are cumbersome due to their hinged opening and closing mechanisms. Furthermore, these designs often suffer from leaks or contamination of the straw tip even when retracted.
This technology allows the straw to be deployed with a single press, while an interlocking unit—consisting of vertical and horizontal moving members and a flexible member—prevents the cover's horizontal protrusion from rising, keeping the straw exposed. Applicable to portable tumblers, children's straw cups, and car thermoses, it enables product differentiation by allowing one-handed straw access while preventing leaks and contamination during storage.
