This technology is a health supplement composition containing naturally derived suberic acid or its food-grade salts as an active ingredient, designed to improve skin hydration, exfoliation, and elasticity through oral intake. It can be formulated into various forms, including tablets, granules, powders, capsules, and pills.
Topical cosmetics have limitations in delivering nutrients to the dermis. Furthermore, repeated UV exposure increases collagenase, which degrades collagen fibers, leading to reduced elasticity and the formation of wrinkles.
This technology enables suberic acid to increase skin moisture content, reduce transepidermal water loss, promote procollagen secretion and collagen biosynthesis, and inhibit collagen fiber damage, degradation, and erythema. It can be combined with anti-wrinkle ingredients such as vitamin C, retinoic acid, and chlorella extract, making it suitable for ingestible beauty supplements and skin health capsules, effectively overcoming the delivery limitations of topical products.
This invention was developed with support from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs for the development of individually recognized health supplement ingredients and products using Artemisia capillaris extract for weight management and metabolic disease improvement.
