This technology is an operating method for a 5G-based Intelligent Transport System (ITS) where an SDN controller manages the connection between the data collection level, data processing level, and application level via intermediate-level routers. It implements a programmable network structure by dividing functions into sensing, relay, and core network communication layers.
Traffic monitoring has traditionally relied on CCTV, which often fails to perform adequately in high-traffic environments. Existing ITS networks have limitations in flexibly routing large volumes of vehicle and infrastructure data and processing them with high bandwidth.
This technology performs real-time processing using map-reduce task partitioning and task node selection based on CPU and memory usage. It classifies events using traffic congestion thresholds to deliver only high-priority information to user terminals. Simulations showed superior results compared to the AODV routing protocol. Applicable to smart city traffic control and vehicle communication infrastructure, it filters unnecessary traffic and enables rapid delivery of emergency traffic information.
