This technology is a medical booth featuring a caster-mounted base with hinged ceiling, front, and side panels. It can be folded for storage, moved to where needed, and unfolded to create a treatment space. A positive-pressure unit with a filter is attached to the ceiling panel to maintain a sterile internal environment.
In hospitals, sterile medical procedures are typically performed in operating rooms or intensive care units. Because these spaces are limited, patients requiring simple procedures often face long wait times. This leads to the inefficient use of expensive operating room resources and increased patient wait times.
This technology features a hexahedral base with open front and bottom sections, containing a horizontal shelf that meets the folded extension. The ceiling panel rotates vertically relative to the base, the front panel rotates vertically relative to the ceiling, and the side panels rotate horizontally to unfold. Torque hinges at the connections allow for positioning at any angle. The side panels consist of two hinged sections that lock to the front panel when deployed, with access doors on the front or sides. Suitable for emergency rooms, outpatient clinics, infectious disease screening centers, and disaster relief sites, it allows for the setup of a sterile treatment space anywhere in a hospital within minutes, without needing an operating room, and can be folded for compact storage after use.
