This technology creates 3D BIM-GIS information using construction equipment data collected by multiple server modules to integrate and control equipment and construction sites. It analyzes work history, including active and idle time, by calculating time intervals, displacement, and rotation angles from GPS data on equipment operator terminals.
Existing construction equipment management technologies are limited to specific equipment, using NFC tags, Bluetooth, or GPS to track transport vehicle trips or route deviations, making it difficult to analyze and manage interconnected tasks within a single program. Operators receive limited information, preventing them from considering step-by-step work plans and reducing efficiency. Furthermore, the inability to utilize 3D spatial data, such as earthwork volumes or orthophotos, has restricted these systems to simple monitoring tasks like relaying, authentication, and location tracking.
This technology links 3D design models and site conditions to GIS maps to display equipment locations, temporary roads, work zones, and planned routes in real time, while automatically calculating work plans and target earthwork volumes using geofences drawn on the map. The geofence entry/exit management module determines if equipment is inside a zone by calculating the intersection of the GPS path with the geofence boundary, recording entry/exit times, identifying circulation routes via zone attributes, and cross-referencing CCTV license plate recognition data. Applicable to large-scale land development, industrial complexes, road/railway subgrade construction, and dam/landfill projects, it quantifies actual utilization and idle time for dump trucks and excavators to optimize dispatching and automatically detect unauthorized removal or route deviations.
This invention was developed with support from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport for intelligent control platforms and big data-based optimal route navigation technology.
