Bone conduction glasses

Bone conduction glasses with increased vibration transmission efficiency by contacting the transducer only with the cover

This technology features bone conduction glasses where a cylindrical transducer embedded in the temple is inserted into the mounting groove of an elastic cover, ensuring it contacts only the cover, with the cover's transmission part protruding toward the skin through a through-hole in the temple. The cover's coupling part is inserted between the temple's internal coupling protrusions while remaining spaced from the body, and a circumferential bellows section extends the vibration transmission path.

Conventional bone conduction glasses suffer from the issue where the transducer is fixed directly to the temple frame, causing a significant portion of vibration energy to leak into the temple. This limits the efficiency of vibration transmitted to the inner ear, resulting in degraded sound quality and reduced battery efficiency.

This technology isolates the transducer from the temple using an elastic cover and lengthens the transmission path with a bellows section, minimizing vibration leakage into the temple while using the cover's elastic restoring force to secure the transducer. Applicable to smart glasses, hearing aid wearables, and outdoor sports audio glasses, it delivers clearer sound with lower power consumption without blocking the ears.

Key Features:
  • Bone conduction glasses comprising a temple rotatably coupled to a front, a transducer for generating sound, and a cover interposed between the transducer and the skin, wherein the transducer contacts only the cover
  • A temple structure having a first body with a skin-side through-hole, a second body forming an installation space, and a plurality of coupling protrusions facing each other within the installation space
  • A cover including a transmission part that surrounds the transducer and protrudes through the through-hole, and a coupling part inserted between the coupling protrusions, with the transmission and coupling parts spaced apart from the temple body
  • A configuration where a circumferential bellows section centered on the transducer is formed in the coupling part, and a mounting groove with a smaller diameter than the transducer prevents the transducer from detaching via elastic restoring force
