This technology is a smartphone ring holder featuring a base with surface-symmetric uneven surfaces on the back of the smartphone. An elliptical disk with a protruding rotation axis and a ring are placed between these surfaces, and a guide between the uneven surfaces and the disk's curved surface is pressurized by an elastic body. Rotating the disk changes the compression rate of the elastic body, thereby adjusting the ring's holding force.
While ring holders provide drop prevention and stand functions, existing products have complex structures with many parts such as connecting shafts, elastic rubber rings, and adjustment bolts. They often suffer from a trade-off where a secure hold makes adjustment difficult, while easy adjustment leads to instability during use.
With this technology, moving the rotation axis along the cover's passage hole causes the elastic body to repeatedly compress and recover against the uneven surfaces, allowing for incremental positioning. The holding strength can be adjusted simply by rotating the disk. It can be applied to grip accessories for smartphones and tablets or integrated phone case stands, maintaining a stable grip while allowing one-handed ring position adjustment.
