This technology is a device that converts temperature, fine dust levels, and relative humidity into a single color, reflecting it in real-time on a weather caster's outfit during weather forecasts. The control unit uses an HSV-based color fuzzy model stored in memory to determine the hue, saturation, and brightness corresponding to the weather data, and the color-changing unit updates the outfit's color.
Traditional TV weather forecasts often distract viewers with the caster's appearance, gestures, and flashy infographics, causing them to miss the actual weather information. Furthermore, delivering information primarily through numerical data, such as 22°C or 60% humidity, fails to align with how people naturally perceive weather—such as "warm" or "hazy"—making it difficult to capture their attention.
This technology uses membership functions and fuzzy rules to map temperature to hue, fine dust to saturation, and relative humidity to brightness, expressing overall weather conditions through intuitive, emotive colors. It can also change the background screen color simultaneously. Applicable to broadcast weather segments, virtual studios, and digital signage, it allows viewers to grasp the day's weather intuitively at a glance without needing to read numbers.
