Automatic Water Tank Cleaning Device with Ultrasonic Emission and Noise Suppression Structure

This technology is a water tank cleaning device and a water tank incorporating it, which features an ultrasonic emitter attached to a frame fixed inside or on the lid of the tank to remove scale by emitting ultrasonic waves toward the tank walls, along with a noise suppressor and a control unit.

FRP water tanks installed on rooftops to supply domestic water are constantly filled, making them prone to scale buildup on the walls, which can lead to bacterial growth and waterborne diseases. However, cleaning these tanks is cumbersome, as workers must enter through manholes carrying heavy, bulky equipment like residual water pumps and high-pressure washers, making regular maintenance difficult in poorly managed buildings.

This technology features a noise suppressor consisting of a fixing plate, a case, and protrusions on the inner surface of the case that surround the ultrasonic emitter at a set distance to reduce operating noise. A control unit initiates ultrasonic cleaning based on water quality sensor readings and automatically manages water supply and drainage by controlling the intake and drain valves. An actuator adjusts the frame height to ensure uniform cleaning of the walls at various water levels. Suitable for rooftop reservoirs in rental housing, aging apartment complexes, schools, and commercial buildings, it allows for constant hygiene maintenance without requiring human entry into the tank.

Key Features:
  • An ultrasonic emitter attached to a frame fixed inside the water tank to emit ultrasonic waves toward the tank walls
  • A noise suppressor consisting of a fixing plate coupled to the ultrasonic emitter, a case housing the emitter, and protrusions on the inner surface of the case to suppress ultrasonic noise
  • A water quality sensor that measures the quality of water stored in the tank, and valves that open and close the intake and drain pipes
  • A control unit that activates the ultrasonic emitter based on water quality results, deactivates it after a set time, and controls water intake and drainage
