Eco-friendly umbrella with an integrated waterproof cover to prevent rainwater dripping

This technology features a thin, waterproof cover attached between the lower part of the sliding member and the edge of the umbrella canopy. When the umbrella is closed, the cover wraps around the ribs and canopy from bottom to top. The edge of the cover includes a ring-shaped sealing member made of magnetic rubber or Velcro.

The constant need for disposable plastic covers when entering buildings leads to significant waste, high costs, and environmental pollution. In places like subway stations that lack plastic cover dispensers, dripping rainwater creates slip hazards and messes on the floor.

With this technology, the simple act of closing the umbrella automatically wraps the cover around the canopy and seals the opening, preventing water from dripping. Suitable for personal use or building lobbies, it eliminates the need for disposable plastic covers and helps prevent indoor slip accidents.

Key Features:

• A main rib fixing member that pivotally connects multiple main ribs to the top of the umbrella shaft, and a sliding member that moves up and down along the shaft
• Auxiliary ribs connecting the sliding member to the center of the main ribs, and lower ribs attached to the ends of the main ribs to secure parts of the canopy
• A thin, waterproof umbrella cover attached to the lower edge of the sliding member and the edge of the canopy, designed to wrap the ribs and canopy from bottom to top when closed
• A ring-shaped sealing member consisting of first and second semi-circular magnetic rubber strips along the bottom edge of the cover that press together to seal the unit
