Parking Door-Ding Prevention Barrier Using Rotating Bars and String Screens

This technology features a case installed on the parking surface equipped with two bars mounted on rotating axes, connected by multiple strings. When the power unit raises both bars simultaneously, the strings form a barrier between adjacent vehicles. The bars are raised via a motor-driven sprocket and chain system connected to gear units on the bars.

Door dings, which occur when a car door hits an adjacent vehicle, are often not considered traffic offenses, making it difficult for victims to receive compensation. Since door guards are optional accessories, they cannot fundamentally prevent damage caused by vehicles that lack them.

This technology creates a physical barrier between parking spaces using bars and strings to prevent adjacent car doors from hitting your vehicle and to provide privacy while entering or exiting. The second axis moves along a slot to adjust the bar spacing, while locking and friction gears allow the chain to pass without overload after deployment. Suitable for apartments and public parking, it reduces door-ding disputes at the facility level rather than relying on driver caution.

Key Features:
  • A case installed on the ground, with first and second bars mounted via first and second rotating axes
  • Multiple strings connecting the first and second bars to screen adjacent vehicles when the bars are raised
  • A power unit with a pair of sprockets and a chain driven by a motor to transmit force to both bars simultaneously
  • A first gear unit with a locking gear that engages the chain until the first bar is raised, and a friction gear that allows the chain to pass once raised
