Smart Alarm Mirror That Disables via Randomized Stretching Motion Recognition

This technology is a smart alarm mirror consisting of a mirror unit with motion sensors placed on the top and sides, a clock unit for setting and triggering alarms, and a control unit that disables the alarm once it confirms that the detected stretching motion has been maintained for a set duration.

Standard alarm clocks are easily turned off with a single button, often leading users to unconsciously disable them while half-asleep and oversleep, missing appointments or schedules. Methods requiring users to chase moving or shaking clocks also have limitations, as users quickly adapt to them, reducing their effectiveness in waking them up.

When the alarm sounds, this technology highlights the sensor locations on the mirror surface and requires the user to perform a series of randomly selected stretching motions for a set time to turn it off. Applicable to bedroom smart mirrors and smart home appliances, it ensures users wake up by forcing physical movement and helps build a morning stretching habit.

Key Features:
  • A mirror unit that functions as a standard mirror and includes motion sensors positioned at the top to detect fingertip height
  • A clock unit that displays the current time on the mirror, accepts alarm time, sound, and volume settings via buttons, and triggers the alarm at the set time
  • A detection module that randomly selects stretching motions and visually indicates on the mirror where specific body parts should be placed by activating sensors
  • A judgment module that advances to the next motion when the activated sensor detects the stretching pose for a specific duration and disables the alarm once all motions are complete
