Anti-Slip Tongue Shoehorn

Listed on

Shoehorn with a tongue-securing grip mechanism for instep protection

This technology features a shoehorn with two rotatable grip members that open and close, allowing the user to hold and secure the shoe tongue while putting on the shoe.

Conventional shoehorns only widen the heel area, failing to hold the tongue in place. This often causes the tongue to slide inward or wrinkle, leading to discomfort, potential damage to the tongue, and pain on the instep during repeated use.

This device uses a spring-loaded grip mechanism that stays open by default; the user closes it via a handle control to grasp the tongue before inserting the shoehorn into the heel. Ideal for home use or retail, it allows for easy, one-handed shoe entry without tongue deformation or instep pressure.

‍

Key Features:
  • A shoehorn body designed for insertion into the heel of a shoe, featuring a handle at the top for the user to grip.
  • A first grip member rotatably coupled to the shoehorn body, designed to open, close, and rotate in tandem with the body.
  • A second grip member rotatably coupled to the first, which works with the first to grasp or release the shoe tongue and is spring-loaded toward the release position.
  • An operating mechanism, including a lever and cord connected to the handle, that rotates the second grip member to secure the tongue.
