Leak detection device for inspecting tank perimeters using a guide rail carriage

This technology relates to a leak detection device with a new structure designed to effectively perform leak inspections on large storage tanks. The leak detection device according to the present invention seals a pressure case and an internal case against the inner and outer surfaces of the side plate and supplies high-pressure water to the pressure case to verify leaks, offering the advantage of more effectively detecting whether leaks are occurring in the storage tank's side plates.

Existing solutions in this field had structural and functional limitations that required improvement.

This technology can be applied to relevant industries as a leak detection device to enhance performance and efficiency.

  • Storage tanks composed of welded metal floor plates, side plates, and roofs, subject to inspection for cracks or perforations
  • Guide rails arranged in a large circle on the upper surface of a concrete foundation, positioned along the perimeter of the storage tank floor plate
  • A carriage mounted on the guide rails to move along the track, and a lifting guide extending upward from the top of the carriage
  • A configuration where the top of the lifting guide is attached and fixed to the side plate to perform inspections along the tank side plate
