Smart Helmet with Integrated HUD Projection and Dashcam

This technology relates to a helmet equipped with a smart HUD dashcam. It is designed to be worn on a motorcycle rider's head to provide protection from external impacts, featuring an openable shield on the front to protect the rider's vision from outside air while driving. The system includes: a camera unit consisting of a front camera on the left or right side of the helmet and a rear camera on the back to capture real-time footage; a dashcam that is detachably mounted inside or outside the helmet to receive, store, and manage the real-time footage from the cameras; and a HUD consisting of a micro-projector installed inside the shield to project the real-time footage, and a display unit positioned opposite the projector on the inner side of the shield to output the projected images. According to the present invention, each module is detachably mounted to the helmet and connected to the internal smart HUD dashcam. This allows the rider to view real-time footage from the rear camera, helping them identify blind spots and ensuring driving safety. Furthermore, the modular, detachable design facilitates easy upgrades and maintenance for each component without being restricted to a specific helmet model.

Existing solutions in this field have faced structural and functional limitations that required improvement.

This technology can be applied to the relevant industry as a smart HUD dashcam-equipped helmet to enhance performance and efficiency.

Key Features:
  • Helmet body that protects the rider's head from external impacts and features an openable shield on the front.
  • Camera system consisting of front cameras on the sides and a rear camera on the back to capture real-time footage.
  • Dashcam that is detachably mounted to the body to receive, store, and manage real-time footage from the cameras.
  • HUD consisting of a micro-projector that projects images onto the inner side of the shield and a display that outputs the projected images.
