Method for manufacturing carbon fiber nonwoven fabric bonded with water-soluble thickener binder

This technology provides a carbon fiber nonwoven fabric, a method for its manufacture, and a method for its use. In one embodiment of the present invention, the carbon fiber nonwoven fabric comprises carbon fibers and a binder that bonds the carbon fibers, characterized in that the binder consists of a thickener.

Existing solutions in this field have faced structural and functional limitations that required improvement.

This technology can be applied to relevant industries to enhance performance and efficiency through the carbon fiber nonwoven fabric, its manufacturing method, and its usage method.

Key Features:
  • A step of adding carbon fibers to distilled water and incorporating a water-soluble thickener that acts as both a dispersing agent and a binder
  • A configuration in which 0.1 wt% xanthan gum is added as a water-soluble thickener to achieve a viscosity of 36 cps for dispersion
  • A step of uniformly stirring the distilled water, carbon fibers, and xanthan gum to form a stirred solution
  • A step of vacuum-filtering the stirred solution to form a carbon fiber nonwoven fabric composed of carbon fibers and xanthan gum
