Skin-permeable peptides and methods of use thereof

Cosmetic composition for promoting the delivery of active substances using skin-permeable peptides with specific sequences

This technology features a skin-permeable peptide represented by the sequence (X1)n-X2-cysteine-(X3)m, composed of arginine, lysine, and other amino acids. It binds to biologically active substances to enhance their penetration into the skin, and includes a cosmetic composition incorporating this technology.

Existing skin-permeable peptides often carry a risk of triggering immune responses and suffer from low stratum corneum penetration efficiency, making it difficult to effectively deliver biologically active substances into the skin.

By binding active substances to peptides that have a lower risk of immune response and improved permeability, this technology promotes penetration through the stratum corneum, allowing for the efficient delivery of active ingredients into the skin when applied in cosmetics and topical skin preparations.

Key Features:
  • Skin-permeable peptide represented by the sequence of X1 (arginine or lysine), X2 (selected from alanine, tryptophan, or arginine), cysteine, and X3
  • Composition containing a skin-permeable peptide that binds to biologically active substances to promote their skin penetration
  • Fusion formed by linking a skin-permeable peptide and a biologically active substance via peptide or chemical bonding
  • Cosmetic composition formulated as an emulsion, cream, or essence, containing the fusion of the peptide and the biologically active substance as an active ingredient
