Rail fixing jig for ship testing equipment with height and fine-adjustment for parallelism

This technology is a rail fixing jig for ship testing equipment that allows for easy adjustment of parallelism. The jig is designed to secure rails to a towing tank for ship testing and includes: a rail chair block positioned under the rail with a protrusion at the front; a pair of first height adjustment members that pass vertically through the front of the rail chair block, are fixed to the towing tank at their lower ends, and are arranged to face each other across the rail; a pair of second height adjustment members coupled to the first height adjustment members, configured to contact the top and bottom surfaces of the rail chair block, and featuring a first curved portion on the side adjacent to the rail chair block; a pair of rail clamps seated on the rear top surface of the rail chair block with their bottom surfaces in contact with the rail; rail clamp fixing means that pass through the rail clamps and are screw-coupled to the rail chair block; and fine-adjustment means that pass through the protrusion to couple with the rail chair block, with one end in contact with the side of the rail and the other end partially exposed from the protrusion. The second height adjustment members are arranged on the same vertical line, with their respective first curved portions facing each other while coupled to the first height adjustment members. The rail clamp fixing means includes a first fastening member that passes through the rail clamp to secure it to the top of the rail chair block; a second fastening member with a central through-hole for the first fastening member and a second curved portion on its bottom surface; and a third fastening member seated on the top surface of the rail clamp, featuring a central through-hole and a third curved portion on its top surface that corresponds to the curvature of the second curved portion.

Existing solutions in this field have structural and functional limitations that require improvement.

This technology is a rail fixing jig for ship testing equipment that facilitates easy parallelism adjustment, which can be applied to relevant industries to enhance performance and efficiency.

Key Features:
  • Rail chair block positioned under the rail with a front protrusion to support the rail
  • A pair of first height adjustment members that pass vertically through the front of the rail chair block, are fixed to the towing tank at their lower ends, and are arranged to face each other
  • A pair of second height adjustment members coupled to the first height adjustment members, contacting the top and bottom surfaces of the rail chair block, and featuring a first curved portion
  • Fine-adjustment means that pass through the protrusion to couple with the rail chair block, with one end contacting the side of the rail to finely adjust parallelism
