This technology is an electrospinning solution composition that produces titanium dioxide nanofibers with a homogeneous microstructure and controlled fiber diameter by incorporating distilled water and a water-soluble metal salt into a base composition consisting of ethanol, PVP/PVA polymer resins, and TTIP/ACAC titanium dioxide precursors.

When manufacturing titanium dioxide nanofibers via electrospinning, it has been difficult to control the fiber diameter, making it challenging to consistently obtain nanofibers with a homogeneous microstructure.

By incorporating distilled water and NaCl metal salt into the base composition at specific ratios to control the fiber diameter, this technology enables the production of titanium dioxide nanofibers with a homogeneous microstructure.

Key Features:
  • Base composition containing ethanol as an organic solvent, and both polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) as polymer resins
  • Base composition formulated with both titanium tetraisopropoxide (TTIP) and acetylacetonate (ACAC) as titanium dioxide precursors
  • Distilled water incorporated at 1 to 10 parts by volume per 100 parts by volume of the base composition to control the fiber diameter of the nanofibers
  • Water-soluble metal salt provided as NaCl and incorporated at a molar concentration of 0.4 to 1.8 M relative to the base composition
