Method for installing floor paving materials using epoxy-coated silica sand for joints

This technology is a floor paving installation method that involves spacing and wetting the paving materials, filling the gaps with epoxy-coated joint sand using a squeegee, and spraying water to check for any remaining voids.

Conventional joint installation methods often suffer from the loss of joint sand and weak bonding between paving materials, making it difficult to create durable and uniform joints.

By filling the gaps between paving materials with epoxy-coated joint sand and using water to ensure proper settling, this technology creates robust and stable joints suitable for sidewalk and floor paving applications.

Key Features:
  • Paving installation step: Arranging multiple floor paving materials on the ground at predetermined intervals.
  • Wetting step: Evenly wetting the surfaces of the installed paving materials to create a moist state.
  • Joint sand preparation step: Preparing joint sand by mixing and coating 100 parts by weight of silica sand with 6 parts by weight of epoxy solution.
  • Filling step: Spreading the prepared joint sand over the paving materials using a squeegee to fill the gaps between them.
