Technology for Enhancing Plant Recombinant Protein Expression Through GB1 Domain Fusion

This technology involves a construct in which the GB1 domain of protein G derived from Streptococcus is fused to the N-terminus of a target protein, and a method for enhancing recombinant protein expression in plants using this construct.

When producing recombinant proteins in plants, there was a limitation where expression yield varied depending on the characteristics of the target protein.

This technology enhances expression levels in plants by fusing the GB1 domain to the N-terminus of the target protein, thereby reducing the risk of pathogen contamination and enabling economical commercial production of recombinant proteins.

Key Features:
  • Construct with GB1 domain fused to the N-terminus of the target protein
  • DNA construct encoding the fusion protein and transgenic plants
  • Enhanced recombinant protein expression levels in plants
  • Reduced risk of pathogen contamination and economical mass production
