Method for enhancing extracellular vesicle secretion through SCOTIN protein regulation

This technology describes a method for enhancing extracellular vesicle secretion through the inhibition of SCOTIN protein expression or activity, and a method for producing extracellular vesicles using this approach.

The limited quantity of extracellular vesicles secreted from cells has restricted their application in areas such as diagnostics, therapeutics, and cosmetics.

This technology identifies the correlation between SCOTIN protein expression/activity inhibition and enhanced extracellular vesicle secretion, thereby increasing the number of vesicles secreted within a given period and improving the efficiency of extracellular vesicle production.

Key Features:
  • Enhanced secretion through SCOTIN protein expression or activity inhibition
  • Provision of cells and compositions for extracellular vesicle production
  • Correlation between SCOTIN expression/activity inhibition and enhanced secretion
  • Application in various industries including diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and food
