Gel Polymer Electrolyte Containing an Ionic Liquid Cross-linked Structure

This technology provides a gel polymer electrolyte comprising an acrylonitrile-based polymer with an azide group and tetrazolium that self-crosslinks it, along with its manufacturing method.

Conventional gel polymer electrolytes faced limitations in simultaneously achieving both mechanical strength and ionic conductivity.

This technology forms a dual continuous phase structure with a positively charged tetrazolium cross-linked polymer, negatively charged counter ions, and a liquid electrolyte, thereby simultaneously providing excellent lithium ion conduction efficiency and mechanical strength.

Key Features:
  • Acrylonitrile-based polymer with an azide group
  • Tetrazolium that induces self-crosslinking
  • Composition of positively charged cross-linked polymer, negatively charged counter ion, and liquid electrolyte
  • Simultaneous achievement of excellent ionic conduction efficiency and mechanical strength
