Portable imaging device fusing ultrasound and nuclear medicine

Listed on

A portable imaging device that fuses ultrasound and nuclear medicine into a single probe

This technology is an ultrasound-nuclear medicine fusion portable imaging device that simultaneously provides anatomical, functional, and biochemical information of the human body.

Existing fusion imaging devices, such as PET/CT and SPECT/CT, have limitations due to high radiation exposure and difficulty in real-time localization.

This technology fuses an ultrasound transducer and a gamma-ray detection scintillator with a coupling layer, sound-absorbing material, and collimator into a single probe. This allows for accurate lesion localization and real-time measurement throughout the surgical process with low radiation exposure.

Key Features:
  • Transducer for transmitting and receiving ultrasound
  • Coupling layer to reduce acoustic impedance differences between the transducer and the affected area
  • Combined scintillator and collimator structure for gamma-ray detection
  • Portable implementation fusing an ultrasound device and a nuclear medicine detector into a single probe
