Anticancer prodrug for targeting heterogeneous tumors

Anticancer prodrug that dually responds to redox environments to release SN-38

This technology relates to an anticancer prodrug capable of simultaneously targeting different types of tumors.

Due to the heterogeneity of cancer cells, conventional drug delivery systems have been limited to targeting only a subset of tumor characteristics, leading to drug resistance issues.

This technology introduces a dual activation mechanism that releases the active drug SN-38 in both oxidative stress environments responsive to hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and reductive stress environments responsive to glutathione, thereby minimizing side effects and enhancing the anticancer effect against various tumors.

Key Features:
  • Anticancer prodrug simultaneously targeting different types of tumors
  • SN-38 release in oxidative stress environments responsive to H2O2
  • SN-38 release in reductive stress environments responsive to glutathione
  • Dual activation mechanism for minimizing side effects and improving clinical efficacy
