Fc alpha receptor-binding antibody that activates neutrophils to maximize antibody mechanism of action

This technology relates to an antibody that specifically binds to human Fc alpha receptors and its immunologically active fragments. It is a technology that maximizes the mechanism of action of various antibody therapeutics by maintaining an IgG format and binding to Fc alpha receptors on effector cells.

Conventional IgA antibodies had limitations in utilizing effector functions, making it difficult to fully elicit the cell-killing effects (ADCC/ADCP) of antibody therapeutics.

This technology is designed to bind to Fc alpha receptors on neutrophils, which constitute the highest proportion in mammals, thereby overcoming the drawbacks of conventional IgA. It enhances antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity and phagocytosis and can be widely applied as various Fc-fusion protein therapeutics.

Key Features:
  • Antibody or immunologically active fragments (e.g., scFv, Fab) that specifically bind to human Fc alpha receptor
  • Antibody composition comprising CDRH1, CDRH2, CDRH3, and VH domains
  • Maintains IgG format and binds to Fc alpha receptors on effector cells such as neutrophils
  • Maximization of antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) and phagocytosis (ADCP)
