This technology relates to a data caching method in information-centric network-based delay-tolerant networks, and a recording medium and apparatus for performing the same. Specifically, it is an information-centric DTN data caching technology that incorporates buffer status and validity period.

Conventional approaches needed to provide caching services in delay-tolerant networks with limited node buffer capacity, addressing efficient management of node buffer capacity and considering cases where multiple requesting nodes exist for the same data. Accordingly, this technology proposes a configuration that includes a buffer verification unit, a caching policy component, and a validity period setting unit for controlling data caching and deletion based on node buffer capacity.

As a result, this technology can improve node buffer capacity management and enhance caching services in delay-tolerant networks. It has application value in the fields of broadcasting, telecommunications, IT, internet, and software.
