This technology concerns a method for managing the state of terminals performing M2M communication in a 5G network environment, along with a recording medium and device for implementing it. Specifically, it is a communication control technology that manages the RRC state and group mobility of 5G M2M terminals.
Existing technologies, by introducing a new RRC state model and managing the RRC state based on terminal grouping, needed to address challenges in managing location registration and paging in M2M communication, particularly concerning group mobility management. To this end, this technology proposes a configuration that includes a state management device for managing the RRC state of terminals performing M2M communication in a 5G network environment, encompassing a first conditional transition, a second state transition, and mobility management.
Consequently, this technology can enhance the efficiency of mobility management by reducing the signaling load generated during location registration and paging, particularly for group mobility management. It offers valuable applications in the broadcasting, telecommunications, IT, and internet sectors.
