Livestock feed additive formulated with pine cone oil and pine cone meal

This technology is a livestock feed additive containing a specific ratio of pine cone oil, extracted from pine cones (a farm byproduct), and the remaining pine cone meal.

Pine cones are typically discarded as waste, and there have been challenges in processing and utilizing them effectively as a stable resource for livestock feed.

This technology enables the use of farm byproducts as a resource by washing, drying, aging, and pressing pine cones to extract oil, then fermenting the remaining meal and blending them together for use in livestock feed additives.

‍

‍

Key Features:
  • Pine cone oil, included at 2–4 wt% of the total feed additive content and mixed with molasses
  • Pine cone meal, included at 3–8 wt% of the total feed additive content to provide nutritional supplementation
  • Pine cone pressing stage, where washed, dried, and aged pine cones are fed into a press to extract oil
  • Pine cone meal production process, where the crushed pine cone residue remaining after oil extraction is collected and fermented
