This technology is a feed composition that blends roughage, such as oat or rice straw, with crushed perilla meal, additional ingredients like grains, salt, minerals, and calcium carbonate, and probiotics.

Conventional feed often struggles to meet recommended omega fatty acid ratios in livestock products, and there have been challenges in stably utilizing perilla meal, a byproduct, as feed.

By crushing perilla meal to a specific size, fermenting it, and blending it with roughage, this technology can be applied to livestock feed to prevent rancidity while improving the omega fatty acid ratio.

• Roughage containing one or more of oat or rice straw, blended at 20–40 parts by weight
• Perilla meal crushed to a diameter of 1.5–2.5 mm, included at 6–8 parts by weight per 100 parts of the feed composition
• Additional ingredients containing one or more of grains, salt, minerals, and calcium carbonate, included at 20–55 parts by weight
• Perilla meal fermented with Lactobacillus after the addition of sugar, salt, molasses, etc., to prevent rancidity
