This technology relates to a composition for DNA sequence analysis and a DNA sequence analysis method, and to a DNA sequence analysis method including a composition containing a DNA-binding fluorescent protein and steps for processing the same.
Existing DNA sequence analysis technology had limitations in DNA damage and information loss. To solve these problems, this technology provides a fluorescent protein composition and method to precisely analyze DNA sequences at the level of a single DNA molecule.
By using A/T-specific DNA binding protein and non-specific complementary DNA binding protein simultaneously, efficient optical identification of single DNA molecules is possible without a separate sequencing procedure. This technology is useful for studying chromosomal organization and protein immunoorganization of the genome, and can improve the accuracy and efficiency of genetic analysis.
This technology was developed through support from the National Research Foundation of Korea's research project on microfluidic devices for observing the structure of dyed yarns for detecting DNA damage.
